Catalytic Converter Thefts Reported In Bolingbrook: Cops

Thefts have happened in residential driveways and in local parking lots, often occurring overnight.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Numerous catalytic converter thefts have been reported in Bolingbrook. According to Bolingbrook Police, these thefts have happened in residential driveways and in local parking lots, often overnight.

The two vehicles pictured above were both used in the thefts, police said. Both cars have displayed license plates that were reported stolen.

Officers have located and tried to stop both vehicles, but the cars have fled at a high rate of speed, police said. The person in the picture above was also photographed at the scene of an attempted theft, according to police.
