Channahon Resident Promoted To Valley View's Upper Administration

Judith Zito-Nash obtained her doctor of education degree from the University of St. Francis last year.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - The Valley View School District 365U Board of Education has promoted Channahon resident Judith Zito-Nash to Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. Nash will succeed Sharon Hawks on July 1, who is retiring at the end of the current school year. Nash has been Valley View's Director of Professional Development, a position she has held since 2013.

Nash began serving in VVSD in 2004 when she was hired as Assistant Principal at B.J. Ward Elementary School. After four years at B.J. Ward, Nash became Professional Development Coordinator for VVSD. She served in that position for five years before assuming her current role.

Nash earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign followed by completion of her law degree in 1996 at John Marshall Law School. She is a member of both the Illinois Bar and the Bar of the United States Supreme Court.

In 1999, she earned a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Governors State University, and then her Doctor of Education degree from the University of St. Francis in 2017.

Nash resides in Channahon with her family where she served her community as member of the Village of Channahon Board of Trustees until 2013.
