Loaded Gun In Car During Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest: Bolingbrook PD

The driver of the vehicle, Juan Jose Morales, had a revoked driver's license and two warrants, police said.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Chicago man was arrested Thursday after police found a loaded gun in his vehicle during a traffic stop in Bolingbrook, according to Bolingbrook Police.

Juan Jose Morales, 32, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, multiple traffic offenses and also had two active warrants for his arrest, police said.

At 3:25 p.m. Thursday, Bolingbrook Police's problem-oriented policing unit conducted a traffic stop at 115th Street and Weber Road for moving traffic violations, police said. The driver of the vehicle, Morales, had a revoked driver's license and two warrants.

Officers found a loaded 9mm handgun and cannabis in the vehicle, police said.

Morales was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
