Close Game Means Extra Waiting for Bolingbrook Print Shop
By this morning they had printed 5,000 T-shirts.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — It was another late night at Premium Custom Products, and for a bit it looked like customers might be going home as empty handed as the Cubs.
It was nearly two weeks ago when owner and Plainfield resident Eric Withaar and his employees began pumping out Cubs T-shirts after they won the National League pennant.
When Withaar talked to Patch Thursday morning, he and his team were still printing shirts, which began close to midnight Wednesday. By this morning they had already printed 5,000 of them.

But before that printing, there was a lot of waiting. At one point he thought they would start printing around the eighth inning, but the Indians messed that up for them.
In case you missed it, the Cubs had a healthy 3-point lead until the Indians tied the game, resulting in an extra inning and a rain delay.

“As soon as that last out was made, we had the press spinning and started loading shirts right off the bat,” Withaar said.
And if you’re wearing a Cubs World Series Championship shirt right now, it’s possible it came from them. All the shirts printed went to a distribution facility in Bloomington and were then sent to stores around the area. There was a 3 a.m. pickup and then a 10 a.m. pickup.
Right now they’re just printing the official locker room T-shirt.
“We’re just waiting to hear what the next ones will be,” Withaar said and he’ll keep printing until he’s told to stop.
