Cognac Thief Bites Foremost Liquor Store Worker: Police
This defendant isn't even old enough to purchase alcohol.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - A 19-year-old Chicago resident finds himself locked away from society at the Will County Jail facility after police in Bolingbrook say he stole two cases of cognac from the Foremost Liquors store and then bit one of the store employees who ran after him and captured him. The arrest of Edmond K. Brown occurred Sunday night.
According to Bolingbrook Police, officers learned of a retail theft in progress at 8:06 p.m. so police cars raced to the scene of the crime, 461 North Bolingbrook Drive. There in the parking lot, Edmond Brown was being detained by two people from Foremost Liquors, reports show.
"Brown had entered the store and grabbed two cases of cognac and fled the store without rendering payment," police reports show. "Brown was caught in the parking lot by a store employee and a patron of the store.

"A scuffle ensued and Brown bit the store employee on the arm," police said.
Afterward, the Bolingbrook Police loaded Brown into the backseat of a squad car. He was driven to the Will County Jail where he was booked on charges of retail theft and aggravated battery.

He also had five active arrest warrants from other area jurisdictions, Bolingbrook Police said.
This week, Edmond Brown went before a Will County judge and his total bail was set at $65,000.
He remained in custody as of Thursday night.
