Bolingbrook native makes fall 2023 president’s list

Kennedy Thomas of Bolingbrook (60490) was named to the Fall 2023 President's List at Georgia State University.

To be eligible for the President's List, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 4.0 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.

Local student named on dean’s honor roll at University of Mississippi

Sophia Aiello, of Bolingbrook, IL, was named to the University of Mississippi's Fall 2023 Honor Roll lists.

Aiello, majoring in International Studies, was named to the Dean's Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.50-3.74.

In order to be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.

University of Mississippi announces fall 2023 chancellor's honor roll

The University of Mississippi announced students named to the Fall 2023 Honor Roll lists, including Chancellor's Honor Roll.

  • Kendall Wasunyk, of Bolingbrook, IL, majoring in Law Studies, is one of those students on the Chancellor's Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00.
  • Masen Danker, of Bolingbrook, IL, majoring in Integrated Marketing Communications, is one of those students on the Chancellor's Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00.

"The remarkable students achieving Chancellor's Honor Roll are among the best and brightest at the University of Mississippi," said Chancellor Glenn Boyce. "I commend them for their hard work and dedication resulting in their outstanding academic achievements and this well-deserved recognition."

Bolingbrook student makes two honor lists in same semester

Joshua Bozarth of Bolingbrook was named to the Fall 2023 Chancellor's and Dean's Lists in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas.

Bozarth joins more than 2,500 additional Fulbright College students on the Fall 2023 Dean's and Chancellor's Lists.

To qualify for the Dean's List, students must achieve at least a 3.75 grade-point average for the semester while completing at least 12 credit hours. To qualify for the Chancellor's List, students must also achieve at least a 4.00 grade-point average for the semester while completing at least 12 credit hours.

"It's such a pleasure to recognize Joshua for this spectacular achievement and for making Fulbright College and the University of Arkansas so incredibly proud," said Kathryn Sloan, the college's interim dean. "Joshua represents the very best of Fulbright College and demonstrates excellence in academics and a commitment to our mission of peace through education."

"I'd be remiss not to also recognize and thank the family, friends and Fulbright College faculty and staff who have supported Joshua," Sloan added. "We're immensely grateful for their continued influence and support."

Bozarth is one of more than 8,000 students who study and research in Fulbright College, which has degrees across the fine arts, humanities, natural sciences and social sciences.
