ComEd Investigating Cause of Monday Power Outages Around Bolingbrook

ComEd is investigating the cause of a Monday evening power outage that affected about 50,000 people in the region, mostly around Bolingbrook and Downers Grove.

Operations teams were en route to address the issue at 5:35 p.m., and the first outage reports reached ComEd around 6:04 p.m., said Emily Penate, senior communications specialist for ComEd.

Penate said power was restored for most people around 6:30 p.m., and the cause is still under investigation.
