Convicted Doper Corte Clark Arrested By Bolingbrook Police

Three years ago, the Romeoville man was convicted in Will County of delivering cocaine.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - A 26-year-old convicted dope pusher who resides in Romeoville is back in Will County's judicial system after Bolingbrook police hauled him away in handcuffs. Corte Clark was arrested last week on two felonies, possessing a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and a misdemeanor offense of obstructing police. Clark's latest troubles in Will County stem from a traffic stop last Tuesday afternoon, November 21.

Bolingbrook cops say they pulled over Clark's car around 3:15 p.m. at Route 53 and Beaconridge Ridge for an equipment violation. "Upon stopping the car, officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle," Bolingbrook police reports reflect.

The officer made Clark get out of his car. That's when the convicted drug pusher tried to run.

"As officers started to check Clark he fled from the scene on foot," reports state. "During the foot pursuit Clark attempted to discard a baggie which officers immediately seized. Officers apprehended Clark at Lily Cache Lane and Brookview."

Clark's baggie was filled with cocaine, Bolingbrook police said. Additionally, the Romeoville man tried to throw away a baggie of marijuana, according to police.

Clark, who lives in the unit block of Honeybear Lane, spent a couple of days locked up at the Will County Jail. He drew a $200,000 bond. After two nights in jail, Clark was freed after coming up with 10 percent bail. Court records show that assistant Will County Public Defender Jane Harris drew the appointment to represent Clark on his latest drug case. Patch has left a message seeking comment from the Will County Public Defender's Office on Clark's behalf.

Three years ago, Clark pleaded guilty in Will County to manufacturing cocaine, court records show. At his November 2014 sentencing, he was given credit for serving 19 days in jail and got four years probation.
