Copper Thieves Hit This Location In Bolingbrook: Blotter

It's time for another edition of Bolingbrook's Police blotter. Do these crimes surprise you?

BOLINGBROOK, IL - The following criminal activity was investigated last week around Bolingbrook by the Bolingbrook Police Department.

SEPT. 20

Andres Paredes, 55, 784 Springbrook Lane, was charged with a liquor ordinance violation and criminal trespass to property, following a call to the 200 block of S. Bolingbrook Dr. at 11:43 a.m.

SEPT. 21

A wallet was removed from a purse while the victim was shopping on the 300 block of N. Weber Rd. at 2:30 p.m. The victims credit cards were used at nearby stores. Loss valued at $2,400.

SEPT. 22

Javier Sanchez, 34, 610 Broadway St., Joliet, was charged with driving on a suspended license and harassing/ obscene communications on the 300 block of Hanover Dr. at 11:56 p.m.

Officers responded to Meijer, 225 N. Weber Rd., for the report of a retail theft. Suspect concealed three portable speakers and exited the store without rendering payment at 8 p.m. Loss valued at $120.

A glass door and two windows were damaged from a bb gun on the 200 block of N. Schmidt Road between Sept. 16-22.

The front door of a residence was damaged on the 100 block of Oxford Rd. at 12:57 p.m for a call of a disturbance.

A wallet, clothing, shoes and work badge were removed from a secured locker on the 200 block of N. Weber Road between 10:30 a.m. and noon.

SEPT. 23

Terence Elliott, 44, 809 S. 6th St., Monroe, LA, was charged on the motor vehicle theft and two counts of criminal damage to property, following a traffic stop on the 600 block of 107th St. at 8:26 p.m.

Fazon Newson, 22, 217 Adams St., was charged with two counts of DUI, two counts of traffic signal violation, no drivers license and improper lighting, following a traffic stop on the 300 block of S. Bolingbrook Dr. at 3:01 a.m.

SEPT. 24

Kevin Chavez, 23, 334 Tiger St., was charged with two counts of criminal trespass to property and resisting a peace officer, following a call to the 200 block of Diane Ln. at 4:06 a.m.

Joven Ortega, 18, 606 N. Broadway St. Joliet, was charged with driver safety belt violation, illegal transportation of alcohol and in-state warrant, following a traffic stop on the 300 block of Blair Ln. at 8:46 a.m.

SEPT. 25

An unsecured vehicle parked on the 300 block of Callery Dr. was rummaged through sometime overnight. Loose change and music CD’s were taken.

Thomas Wiggins, 24, 1127 Elizabeth Ln., was charged with improper lighting, driving on a suspended license, no insurance, three counts of DUI and illegal transportation of alcohol, following a traffic stop at Rt. 53 & Old Chicago Dr. at 2:17 a.m.

SEPT. 26

A table and chairs were taken from a front porch on the 1400 block of Schoenherr Ave. sometime overnight. Loss valued at $300.

Linda Abarca, 41, 510 Aubudon Rd., Streamwood, was charged with two in-state warrants, following a traffic stop at Boughton Rd. & I-355 at 9:16 p.m.

Copper plates were cut from a cell tower on the 400 block of S. Bolingbrook Dr. between 09/05-09/26. Loss valued at $4,800.
