1 Dead In Crash On Joliet Road: Bolingbrook Police

The woman was pushing her disabled vehicle when she was struck from behind by another vehicle on Joliet Road, police said.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Bolingbrook woman was killed Wednesday after she was struck by a vehicle near Joliet Road and 107th Street, Bolingbrook Police said.

Officers responded to the crash at 4:54 a.m. Wednesday. The woman, Jenna Cawthon, 30, of Bolingbrook, was pushing her disabled vehicle southbound on Joliet Road, when she was struck from behind by another vehicle traveling south on Joliet Road, police said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 37-year-old Woodridge man, was taken to an area hospital for treatment, police said.

The Bolingbrook Police Department Traffic Unit continues to investigate, and the roadway has been reopened.
