Dead Bolingbrook Cop's Camaro Stolen
Alexander's vintage Camaro was popular in Bolingbrook. Now, three months after his tragic death, someone stole it.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - In December, the Bolingbrook Police Department suffered a tremendous loss. One of their veteran police officers, 17-year department veteran Steve Alexander, was killed in Ireland along with his brother and their parents. Their rental car collided with a truck and all four died. The tragedy left thousands of people devastated particularly in the Will County police community. And at the Bolingbrook Police Department, everyone knew that Steve Alexander was proud of his Camaro.
"Steve ... enjoyed racing his vintage Camaro drag racing car and talking to children about vehicle and driving safety," Bolingbrook Police officials announced in December. "Steve recently hosted and organized a Squad Car Night at the Bolingbrook Promenade in partnership with the Illinois Special Olympics which attracted police vehicles from all over the state."
Now, the late Bolingbrook officer's Camaro has been stolen.
