Peering into the backseat of her SUV with tears streaming down her cheeks, Cristina gripped the steering wheel tight as she prayed "Father, what now? How do I raise three children on my own without their father?" At that moment, she felt God reply back, "With me, I am their Heavenly Father." At the young age of 28, Cristina lost her husband, Brian, to cancer. Residing in New Lenox, Brian and Cristina fought the cancer faithfully for 2 years. In the midst of this terrible heartache and pain, she cried out to her Savior for love, hope, peace and guidance in moving forward.

Trials have transformed into triumphs through the strength of Christ for Cristina Harty. Many years ago, God gave her a vision that extended beyond her. "God made me aware that He doesn’t just want women to know OF Him but He wants them to KNOW Him personally."

Speaking all over the U.S. the past ten years, Cristina founded her own cosmetic line and etiquette training company, Kharisma Finishing School, a Christian based company. Cristina started this school with a mission of "Building Character and Confidence in Today’s Young People" by teaching them to recognize their unique qualities and talents God has blessed them with. Now, Cristina’s passion extends beyond textbook teachings to helping others feel God’s abundant love, mercy and compassion. “I desire for all women to experience God's healing power as I did.” And with that New Beginnings Ministries was born.

The 2nd Annual Chicago New Beginnings Women’s Conference will be held on October 12th from 9am-3pm at Living Water Community church in Bolingbrook. This conference is a Saturday event that gives women a break from the demands of their lives, and allows them to get refreshed, revived and refocused on Christ.

The purpose at New Beginnings women’s conferences is to get to the core issues of what women deal with everyday. As the Founder & President, Cristina and her team will minister to women through worship, testimonies, teaching and ministry. “We desire to reach women who are hurting, lonely, or lost… as well as those who want to deepen their relationship with God.”
