DUI Driver Hits Vehicle, Pole: Bolingbrook Cops

The man was driving down Bolingbrook Drive when his car hit and went over the median, hit a Volvo and crashed into a utility pole.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A 38-year-old Bolingbrook man was arrested Monday night on several charges, including of driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol level over 0.08, after getting into a car crash, police said.

Noberto Salgado-Vergara was driving a red Dodge Caravan south on South Bolingbrook Drive around 9 p.m. Monday when he crashed into the center median near Edgehill Drive. Police said his car then went over the median and hit a black Volvo, driving north, before hitting a utility pole.

Salgado-Vergara was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The other driver also suffered from minor injuries and later got medical attention, officials said.
