Church of St. Benedict to Host Indoor Winter Farmers Market

With winter in full-tilt, finding a good farmers market this holiday season may be a bit tougher than originally thought. 

Thanks to the and Faith in Place, it doesn't have to be.

The two are partnering to bring a winter farmers market to the Bolingbrook church this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Faith in Place, according to its website, is helps congregations in the Chicago-area bring locally and sustainably produced food to their communities during the winter months through a series of one-time winter farmers markets.

The event is open to the public and will have cheese, meat and poultry, soap, syrup, honey, wool, raw fibers, vinegars, dried fruits, milled flours, sauces and salsas, preserves, cider, and fresh produce as available.

Church officials will also be host a seasonal offering from the Church of St. Benedict bell plate ringers and adult choir throughout the day.
