Ex Beats Former Girlfriend, Bites New Boyfriend: Police
The 36-year-old Bolingbrook man has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A Bolingbrook man who allegedly forced his way into his ex-girlfriend’s Naperville home, attacking her and beating her new boyfriend with a metal tool has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Jaskaran Singh, 36, of the 200 block of Sparrow Lane, was charged with trespass to a residence, unlawful use of weapons, theft, criminal damage to property, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, domestic battery and two counts of battery.

On Dec. 22, a grand jury added felony counts of home invasion causing injury and home invasion with a dangerous weapon.
According to the Chicago Tribune, “Singh is accused of forcing his way into the woman’s home on the 1000 block of Ravendale Court shortly before midnight. He ‘grabbed, shoved and pushed (the woman),’ struck her new boyfriend in the head with a metal tool and bit the man’s left shoulder.”

Singh also reportedly took photographs of his ex and her new boyfriend “in various states of undress with his cell phone, and threatened to post them on social media,” according to reports, as reported by the Tribune.
He also allegedly damaged two doors, wiring and stole $700 from the new boyfriend’s wallet. When police arrived, they found him outside and a search of his vehicle yielded .1 grams of cocaine, according to the Tribune.
Neither the ex or the man were seriously injured in the home invasion.
Singh posted a $50,000 bond and will return to court Feb. 16.
