Fuel Leak Causes Underground Fire At Weber, Rodeo: Police

Bolingbrook Fire personnel were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A vehicle fire on Tuesday caused a brief underground fire after a fuel leak from the vehicle entered the sewer system, Bolingbrook Police said.

The incident happened at 11:04 a.m. on Tuesday at Weber Road and Rodeo Drive in Romeoville jurisdiction.

Police said Bolingbrook Fire personnel were able to quickly extinguish the fire. Weber Road between Claar Boulevard and Rodeo Drive was briefly shut down, but has since reopened.
