Gas Station Employee Stole From Register: BPD

Bolingbrook Police obtained a warrant for this employee's arrest.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - A man who worked in Bolingbrook at a gas station is now hiding out from the police. Last week, Bolingbrook Police detectives obtained a bench warrant from a Will County judge to make an arrest for Cornelius Young, 32. As of Monday morning, Young's whereabouts remained unknown.

According to the Bolingbrook Police Department, officers were sent to the Mobil station in the 600 block of East Boughton Road back on the morning of May 6. The call involved a theft. "Cornelius Young, a night employee of the business, stole cash from the register and safe, locked the business and left the location," the police report shows.

"The theft was discovered by the morning shift when they arrived for work."

According to Bolingbrook Police, Young's most recent address was in Downers Grove, in the 5900 block of Woodward.
