Heroin Dealer Tried Fleeing Bolingbrook's Police: Cops
The defendant lives in Joliet, according to Bolingbrook's Police Department.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - A Joliet man suspected of dealing the dangerous drug heroin remains in the Will County Jail one week after Bolingbrook Police officers say Jermaine Waters crashed into another vehicle and then tried to outrun several police officers in pursuit. Officers eventually captured Waters, 33, who lives in the 300 block of Joliet's North Ottawa Street, and he's been charged with delivering a controlled substance, leaving the scene of a crash, resisting a police officer and numerous traffic violations, police said.
A judge at the Will County Courthouse set the defendant's bail at $300,000.
According to Bolingbrook Police, officers saw a drug deal taking place shortly after 4 p.m. on Aug. 9 in a parking lot near Bolingbrook Drive and Remington Boulevard.

"Jermaine Waters, 33 years of age, from the 300 block of N. Ottawa Street, Joliet, sold heroin during the transaction," police reports show.
When the Bolingbrook officers tried to approach Waters, he took off in a Nissan Quest and struck another car on Bolingbrook Drive, authorities say. Afterward, police say, Waters pulled his damaged Nissan into a parking lot at Bolingbrook Drive and Briarcliff Road. This time, he bolted from the Nissan and tried to outrun the police, reports indicate.

"Waters attempted to flee on foot was but apprehended by officers," police said.
A week later, Waters remains incarcerated inside of the Will County Adult Detention Facility, unable to come up with $30,000 cash to post as bond, jail logs indicate.
