Honey-Jam Cafe Opens in Bolingbrook
Portillo's Restaurant Group's third venture into breakfast food greeted its first customers Tuesday.
Bolingbrook residents have been waiting for the to open for months.
Tuesday that wait was over as Bolingbrook's newest breakfast restaurant opened amid little fanfare.
Honey-Jam, the Portillo's Restaurant Group's venture into the world of breakfast, opened just behind restaurant near the intersection of Boughton Road and Route 53.

The Bolingbrook location is the restaurant's third of its kind—two other locations are in Batavia and Downers Grove. Honey-Jam's breakfast menu, according to its Web site, includes egg entrees, signature omelets, skillets, Belgian waffles, French toast creations, pancakes, crepes and more.
In addition, the restaurant also has a Caffe Express-O, which features a selection of coffees, lattes and cappuccinos and baked goods.

Honey-Jam is the cornerstone of a new strip mall that also features Grove Dental and will soon house other health care businesses later this year.
