Accused Identity Thief Nabbed: Police Blotter Bolingbrook
Bolingbrook Police also responded to a store theft at the Meijer on Weber Road.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - The Bolingbrook Police Department has had a busy summer, and here's a look at some of the criminal activity that kept village officers busy in recent days.
AUGUST 9
A vehicle parked on the 600 block of Sheffield Lane was rummaged through sometime overnight. A purse and work jacket were taken.

Officers were called to Meijer, 225 N. Weber Road for the report of a retail theft. Someone selected numerous over the counter medications, razors and white strips and exited the store at 2:15 a.m. without rendering payment. Loss valued at $1,800.
Jamelle Gathings, 32, 700 block of N. Ashbury Ave. Bolingbrook, was charged with driving on a suspended license, revoked registration, obstructing justice, three in-state warrants and identity theft, following a traffic stop on the 700 block of N. Ashbury Avenue.

AUGUST 11
Arturo Beltran, 21, 300 block of Gehrig Circle, Bolingbrook, was charged with battery and resisting a peace officer, following an incident on the 300 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive.
AUGUST 12
Antonio DeLaCruz-Medina, 66, unit block of Rockledge Dr., Romeoville, was charged with two counts of DUI, speeding and improper lane usage, following a traffic stop at Veterans Pkwy. & Crossroads Drive.
Irving Garcia, 20, 505 Preston Drive was charged with domestic battery, following a call to the parking lot on the 500 block of Preston Drive.
A purse and wallet were taken while the victim was shopping on the 700 block E. Boughton Road. The purse was located but the wallet and US currency were missing at 6:20 p.m.
AUGUST 13
Officers responded for the call of a robbery. The victim states an unknown person approached the victim while sitting in vehicle, punched the victim, took their phone and ran.
AUGUST 14
Patrick Williams, 27, Coal City, was charged with an in-state warrant, on the 300 block of W. Briarcliff Road at 11:22 p.m.
AUGUST 15
A side window was broken out to a vehicle parked on the 200 block of S. Lindsey Lane between 5:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. A purse was taken.
