Driving around the neighborhood, looking for displays with family and friends is a time-honored (and budget friendly) Christmas tradition.

So where are the coolest light displays in neighborhoods around Bolingbrook? Candidate for Village Trustee, Jaime Olson drove around the Village to find some of the most popular residential light displays and found thirty must-see holiday homes to check out before Christmas next week.

The Best Neighborhood for Christmas displays in Bolingbrook is River Hills (located just north of 127th street on Naperville Rd). From the moment you enter the neighborhood, you are met with homes lit up in beautiful white lights (1150 Winding Way). There are more homes with holiday decor than without in River Hills. So much so, that it looks very much like a Bolingbrook version of Whoville, and actually includes the Grinch stealing the lights off of the home at 2228 Misty Creek Tr. Another must see home in this neighborhood is 1173 Winding Way, with Christmas Vacation's Cousin Eddie, the Griswold family station wagon in the front yard and the famous Christmas Story leg lamp in one of the top windows. And while you are there, stop at 2309 River Hills Lane and post a letter to Santa at his special North Pole mailbox. If you have limited amount of time to view lights, focus on a trip to River Hills. You will not be disappointed.

The Best Street for Christmas Displays in Bolingbrook is Heather Ct. (located in the Fairways of Augusta just north of 111th and east of Naperville Rd). Every home in this enchanting court is decorated with red and white lights and other holiday displays. As soon as you turn onto to court you feel as though you are immersed in a dazzling candy cane inspired land. Do not miss a trip to this street.
