Jane Addams Boys Cross Country Finishes 16th In State

Eighth grader Jett Garner also qualified for the state finals as an individual, representing Jane Addams' girls cross-country team.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Jane Addams Middle School boys cross-country team earned 16th place, out of a total of 24 teams, at the IESA Class 3A state championship on Saturday.

Jane Addams finished in third at sectional competition to qualify for the state finals, according to the District.

Eighth grader Jett Garner also qualified for the state finals as an individual, representing Jane Addams' girls cross-country team.

Runners for the boys team included Jewan Garner, Yorachukwu Ifeajekwu, Amari Brown, Brayan Segundo, Alexander Manas, Angelo Jucha and Eadon Reed, according to IESA. The team had 377 points, finishing behind Williamsville and ahead of 17th place Geneseo.

Garner was the only runner to finish in the top 25, finishing 14th with a time of 11 minutes and 16.2 seconds, according to IESA.
