Jane Addams Middle School Gets New Principal

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Jane Addams Assistant Principal Teresa Burrell has been named Principal of the Bolingbrook middle school effective immediately. She succeeds Dr. Jason Pascavage who is now Principal at Bolingbrook High School.

Burrell, who has held several district-level positions including Interim Assistant Director of Student Services and Emotional Disability Special Education Coordinator, is a former Dean of Students at Brooks Middle School. She has been with Valley View School District 365U since the 2005-06 school year when she joined the Martinez Middle School staff as an 8th grade science teacher and later served as Student Resource Team Leader at Martinez.

She was named Assistant Principal at Jane Addams in 2013.

A graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in social work, Burrell also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in elementary education from Governors State University and a Master’s in educational administration from Northern Illinois University.
