Joliet Man Threatened Woman With Gun During Domestic Dispute: Bolingbrook Police

The man was identified as Christopher Dixon, 34, of Joliet, and was discovered to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Joliet man has been charged with aggravated assault and unlawful use of a weapon after threatening a woman with a handgun during a domestic dispute, Bolingbrook Police said Wednesday.

Police said they received a gun complaint at 12:58 a.m. Tuesday on Remington Boulevard. While officers were en route, they learned that the suspect had left the area on foot.

A man matching the suspect description was found and detained for further investigation, police said. The man was identified as Christopher Dixon, 34, of Joliet, and was discovered to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun.

Police said the man's firearm owner identification card had also been suspended.

Dixon was arrested and charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, domestic battery, aggravated assault, unlawful use of a weapon and possession of firearm with FOID revoked. He was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility and had a court date on Wednesday.
