Jules Wilcox's Standoff Leads To His Arrest: BPD

The Bolingbrook man's bail was relatively low.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - A Will County judge has set a $20,000 bail for a Bolingbrook man accused of three counts of domestic battery. The incident occurred shortly before noon on Saturday. According to Bolingbrook Police, their officers were notified of a domestic battery at a local area hospital; the victim had non-life threatening injuries, police said. The victim was strangled and struck several times on the head by Jules B. Wilcox, 38 years of age, from the 100 block of Creekside, police said.

Bolingbrook police went to Wilcox's home in the 100 block of Creekside. There, Wilcox "refused to exit the residence and threatened officers on scene. Wilcox eventually surrendered to police. Wilcox was charged with aggravated domestic battery and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility," police said.

As of Monday night, Wilcox remained behind steel bars at the county detention facility. He has yet to come up with $2,000 cash, or 10 percent, to post bond.
