Louisiana Man Stole Semi In Bolingbrook: Cops
Bolingbrook Police teamed up with the Illinois State Police to catch the apparent semi truck.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - On Sunday, police in Bolingbrook were notified of a stolen semi truck from the 500 block of East 107th Street. By evening, Terrance Elliot, a 44-year-old man who lives in Monroe, Louisiana, was in the Will County Jail facing charges of motor vehicle theft and criminal damage to property.
According to Bolingbrook Police, officers were made aware of the stolen truck after a company discovered the vehicle missing during a routine fleet check of GPS tracking.
"The vehicle was tracked to I-57, south of Kankakee. The vehicle was stopped by Illinois State Police and the driver was detained at the request of Bolingbrook officers," police reports show.

The Illinois State Police found Elliot behind the wheel, reports indicate.
"The driver had been terminated by the trucking company on the previous day," the police said.

The criminal investigation also determined the Louisiana man "broke the window of a truck to gain entrance before stealing the truck."
Elliot is slated to appear before a Will County judge on Monday afternoon for a bail hearing.
Of note: The Will County Jail logs had the defendant's first and last names spelled differently. At booking, he was processed as Terence Elliott, jail logs indicate.
