Maestro Renee Baker and Chicago Modern Orchestra Project to Perform in Bolingbrook, IL
Bolingbrook, IL – January 12, 2015 – Next month, Maestro Renee Baker and the Chicago Modern Orchestra Project (CMOP) will conduct a rare performance in Bolingbrook, IL.
Renee Baker, recent recipient of the Henry Lewis Conducting Award, composer, violinist/violist, and founder of CMOP, will be conducting CMOP at the 2nd Annual Symphony for the Soul benefit concert to benefit Midwest Christian Montessori Academy (MCMA).

“Renee Baker is a powerful talent and amazing member of our community,” said Marilyn Webster, MCMA’s director. “When she performed at our event last year, she simply took our breaths away.”
With a music career that takes her all over the world, it is a rare and special occurrence for Renee to be performing in Bolingbrook.

Symphony for the Soul includes a one-of-a-kind performance by CMOP, one in which Renee Baker conducts an evening of spontaneous music selection across a multitude of genres, including jazz, classical and pop. It is open to the public and includes music, food and auction items.
The concert will be held on February 20, 2015 at New Song Church, 151 E. Briarcliff Rd. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $25 in advance/ $30 at the door. Please call 630-783-8644 or email symphonyforthesoul@gmail.com for tickets.
MCMA, a not-for-profit, non-denominational Christian Montessori school, uses the money raised at the benefit for the school’s general fund to keep their tuition affordable for the community.
