Man, 37, Threatened Roommate With Stolen Gun: Bolingbrook Police

After police recovered the handgun, officials said they found it had been reported stolen from another jurisdiction in 2017.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A 37-year-old Bolingbrook man threatened his roommate with a stolen handgun Wednesday after an altercation, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Hanover Drive around 11:39 p.m. for a call about a domestic disturbance between roommates. Police said they were told Marco Aguila-Tinoco, 37, threatened his roommate with a gun. He was taken into custody without incident.

Police were able to recover the handgun and found it was previously reported stolen from another jurisdiction in 2017, according to police.

Aguila-Tinoco was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a stolen firearm. He was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
