Man With Machete In Cart Arrested At Bolingbrook Target: Police
Officers arrived at the store and found Jeffrey Hayes, 20, who had a machete in his shopping cart near the rear of the store, police said.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Bolingbrook man, who had a machete in his shopping cart at Target, was charged with unlawful use of weapon on Wednesday afternoon, Bolingbrook Police said.
Police responded to Boughton and Weber roads at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday after multiple reports of a man walking in the area with a machete, police said. The man was seen entering Target, 1188 W. Boughton Road.
Officers arrived at the store and found Jeffrey Hayes, 20, who had a machete in his shopping cart near the rear of the store, police said.

The man refused to follow orders given by officers and was quickly taken into custody without further incident, police said.
Hayes was charged with unlawful use of weapon, obstructing a peace officer and a parole violation warrant. He was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
