Man Pulled Over Driving Stolen Car From Romeoville: Police

The driver, identified as Ian Smith, also had a revoked driver's license at the time of the stop, police said.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A 44-year-old man was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle after a traffic stop in Bolingbrook on Sunday, Bolingbrook Police said. Officers saw a 2018 Nissan Altima that had been reported stolen driving on South Bolingbrook Drive at 4:37 p.m., and officers conducted a traffic stop, police said.

The car was reported stolen from Romeoville. The driver, identified as Ian Smith, also had a revoked driver's license at the time of the stop, police said. He was taken into custody without incident.

Smith was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and driving with a revoked license. He was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
