Man Shot At Bolingbrook Barbershop: Police

A man suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Police said the shooter fled in a vehicle.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A man was shot at a barbershop in Bolingbrook on Friday afternoon, according to Bolingbrook Police.

Officers responded to Starz Cuttery, 299 S. Schmidt Road, at 2:30 p.m. on Friday for a report of a shooting. Officers found a man with a non-life threatening gunshot wound at the business, and he was taken to an area hospital for treatment, police said.

The shooter fled in an unknown vehicle, police said.

Police called the shooting an isolated incident and said there is no immediate danger to the public. The Bolingbrook Police Investigations Division was at the scene and the public should avoid the area while the investigation continues.
