Bolingbrook Stabbing Death: Man Accused In Stepson's Murder
The 23-year-old died Sunday night at a DuPage County hospital, police said.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A 23-year-old man succumbed to his injuries hours after being stabbed in what Bolingbrook police called a "verbal domestic situation" that escalated into a physical confrontation on Sunday. Bolingbrook Police Lt. Anthony Columbus said officers and paramedics responded to a report of a person stabbed at 1:37 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Jordan Way to find 23-year-old Corey L. Spradley with life-threatening injuries. Another man, 51-year-old Harold L. Robinson, was taken into custody without incident, initially charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery, aggravated battery with great bodily harm and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.
Police said Spradley was transported to an area hospital. The DuPage County Coroner's office told detectives later Sunday evening that Spradley had died of his injuries, Columbus said.
Robinson is Spradley's stepfather, according to WJOL.
