Man Threatens Local Market Patrons, Gets Injured While Detained: Cops
A man was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries he sustained after bystanders detained him in the incident, police said.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — Bolingbrook police are investigating a disturbance that occurred March 8 at a local market and resulted in a man being taken to an area hospital.
Officers were called to Chika International Food Market, 522 E. Boughton Road, around 1:25 p.m. and found a 29-year-old man who police said caused a disturbance and made threats to patrons at the shop.
Numerous bystanders detained the man, who was injured during the struggle, according to a news release. The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Officials said detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident. No charges have been filed.
