Claar To Give State Of Bolingbrook Address Thursday

The annual event at Bolingbrook's Golf Club usually draws more than 600 attendees.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - This past weekend, the video advertising boards along Boughton Road reminded thousands of motorists near The Bolingbrook Promenade that this village's most recognized politician, Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar, has a big upcoming event on Thursday. In four days, Claar will deliver his annual State of the Village address inside the Bolingbrook Golf Club.

According to the Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce, the Jan. 18 event goes from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration starts at 11 a.m. and the program begins at noon. Based on recent history, it's highly doubtful Claar will be talking to a room full of empty chairs.

"With over 600 attendees each year, this is the premier business professionals luncheon in the suburban Chicago area. Roger C. Claar, mayor of the village of Bolingbrook, serves as the keynote speaker," the Bolingbrook Chamber proclaimed on its website.
