Kim was supposed to meet the woman at the Bolingbrook Ramada Inn, according to his cousin.

This information comes from the woman Kim was supposed to meet and Van Dyke said he’s unsure how truthful it is.

“She’s a known bad person with a nice, long record,” he said. “A lot of things she’s telling us just doesn’t add up.”

Van Dyke believes she might be involved with Kim’s disappearance but doesn’t have all the facts surrounding it.

“The last known contact that anybody had from him was Sunday morning around 2 a.m.,” said Van Dyke. “He’s known for going off the radar and getting time for himself, but usually if you call his phone, it’ll ring, ring, ring and go to voicemail so he can monitor who’s calling him. Now his phone goes straight to voicemail. He hasn’t checked his Facebook since Sunday. Something’s wrong.”

Van Dyke said he’s contacted the Chicago Police Department and filed a missing persons report, but so far no information regarding his cousin has turned up.

Van Dyke has known Kim all his life since he came from Korea.

“Me and him used to be very close, but as he got older we drifted apart,” Van Dyke said. “My mom just died in April, my uncle just died last month and now he’s missing. They always say it comes in threes so I’m kind of prepared for it.”

Van Dyke said he’s called hospitals and police departments looking for his cousin, but nobody matching his description has turned up.
