Naperville Man Found Dead With Multiple Gunshot Wounds In Bolingbrook

Eric Stubblefield, 38, was pronounced dead in a vehicle at 11:50 a.m. on Tuesday.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Naperville man was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds on Tuesday in Bolingbrook, according to the Will County Coroner's Office.

Bolingbrook Police said officers were dispatched for a report of "suspicious circumstances" in a parking lot in the 600 block of West Boughton Road at 10:39 a.m. Tuesday. Officers found a man, deceased, in the vehicle.

The Will County Coroner's Office responded, and the man, who was identified as Eric Stubblefield, 38, of Naperville, was pronounced deceased at 11:50 a.m., the coroner's office said.

An autopsy was performed Wednesday, and preliminary reports showed multiple gunshot wounds, the coroner's office said. The final cause and manner of death will be determined at a later date pending police, autopsy and toxicology reports.

Bolingbrook Police said the incident is under investigation.
