Pioneer Elementary Parent Secures $4K Donation To School's Library
The donation will be used to provide books to Pioneer students.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Pioneer Elementary parent recently secured a $4,000 donation from Westinghouse Electric for Pioneer's school library, the District shared in a news release.
Lead Nuclear Engineer for Fauske & Associates Nick Karancevic secured and recently delivered the donation, which will be used to provide books to Pioneer students. Fauske & Associates is a subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC.
Karancevic is a parent of a fourth-grade student at the school, the District shared.

"Westinghouse makes these awards accessible for their employees and employees of their subsidiaries through the Westinghouse Working Parent and Caregivers Alliance which seeks to connect Westinghouse to communities through
volunteerism, education and advocacy," a news release states.
Pioneer Elementary Library and Media Center Director Jennifer Pizzuto accepted the donation on behalf of Pioneer students and staff.
“We are grateful for the support Mr. Karancevic and Westinghouse have shown by this generous donation. This donation will benefit our students and families, increasing access to books through giveaways and updating the library collection," Pizzuto said.
