The Illinois State Police issued a press release Saturday afternoon surrounding the deadly collision near Bolingbrook. According to Illinois State Police, 31-year-old Carlos Ortiz Jr. of Plainfield was one of the four drivers involved in the crash along I-55 that happened at 1:52 a.m. Ortiz was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital in Bolingbrook where he was pronounced dead at the emergency room.
