BPD Busts Plainfield Man For 5th DUI: Complaint

BOLINGBROOK, IL - A Plainfield man who recently turned 50 years old remains incarcerated at the Will County Jail facing his fifth charge of drunken driving. John W. Rice, who lives in the 13700 block of Bristlecone Drive, has remained locked away from society since he was admitted into the county jail facility shortly after midnight on Thursday, March 14. Will County has charged Rice with three felony counts: aggravated drunken driving-5th violation, aggravated DUI and driving while having a revoked license.

According to the criminal complaint, Rice was arrested on March 13 by the Bolingbrook Police Department. His arrest occurred on Interstate 55. He was behind the wheel of a 2012 Ford Fusion, the complaint reflects.

A judge set a $150,000 bail for Rice, and he has been unable to come up with 10 percent to post bond. Rice's prior DUI convictions stemmed from drunken driving cases on:
