Police: He Left People 'Alarmed And Disturbed'

This man from Woodridge got arrested Wednesday night in Bolingbrook.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - A 34-year-old man who lives in Woodridge got arrested late Wednesday night after visiting his neighboring community of Bolingbrook. Police say that Troy Gilver's actions toward several strangers left them "alarmed and disturbed."

As a result of the incidents, Gilver ended up in the Will County Jail, charged with disorderly conduct and resisting a police officer, reports show.

Bolingbrook Police say the events that led to Gilver's arrest happened around 10:30 p.m. in a parking lot in the 700 block of East Boughton Road. People who felt they were being harassed by the strange man they didn't know called the police, reports show.

"The victims were sitting in a vehicle when they were approached by Gilver. The victims did not know Gilver and had never met him prior to this incident. Gilver made statements to the victims of a disturbing nature which made them fear for their safety. The victims requested criminal complaints against Gilver," Bolingbrook Police said.

Gilver, who lives in the 7300 block of Willow in Woodridge, was approached by the Bolingbrook Police officers. They told him he was being put under arrest for disorderly conduct.

"As officers were handcuffing Gilver he swung his elbow and began to fight with officers to avoid arrest. Gilver was taken into custody and an arresting officer received minor injuries," police reports reflect.

Around 2 a.m., Gilver arrived at the Will County Jail where he spent the night. He was released from the jail around dinner time on Thursday.
