Police Talk Suicidal Man Out of Jumping onto I-355: Cops
The man was intoxicated and taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — An intoxicated man was talked out of jumping onto I-355 from Boughton Road shortly after midnight Sunday.
At around 10:51 p.m. Saturday, police learned that a man had made threats to family members about jumping from the I-355 bridge into the river near Lemont, according to Bolingbrook Police Lt. Carter Larry. The man left prior to the arrival of police.
At 11:02 p.m., a caller reported a man standing on Boughton Rd. over the railing above I-355. Officers determined this was the man they were trying to locate.

I-355 was shut down in both directions by the Illinois State Police and Woodridge police assisted the Bolingbrook Police Department with traffic control as officers attempted to gain cooperation from the man, Larry said.
After a lengthy conversation, the man was talked out of jumping at around 12:03 a.m. Sunday. He was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and roads were reopened.
