Lt. Mike Rompa said at 11:59 a.m., police responded to a report of a male suspect exiting the bank wearing a mask, along with reports of a female victim with a gunshot wound to her arm. Several reports identified the woman as an employee of the bank.
The suspect fled on foot, Rompa said. According to the FBI, the man, described as in his early 20s with a thin build, fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Bolingbrook officers made entry into the bank and located the victim, who was taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital.
Rompa said the suspect is described as a black male, roughly 6 feet tall and weighing 190 pounds, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, a red baseball hat and a black bandana with white markings.
Witness Nicole Gonzalez said was driving down Boughton Road when she saw police cars speeding towards the bank.
“We saw probably about five cops running into the bank with their shotgun in their hands,” Gonzalez said. After pulling over near the bank, Gonzalez said she heard two gunshots.
“We heard, ‘Get down, get down,’ and then we heard the two gunshots right after each other,” she said. Minutes later, she said people began exiting the bank, but she did not see the suspect leave the bank.
Gonzalez also said she saw an injured woman emerge from the bank holding her elbow; she said the victim was taken away in an ambulance.
FBI Chicago Office spokeswoman Special Agent Joan Hyde said agents remained on the scene of the robbery on Monday afternoon. As of shortly before 2 p.m., Hyde said no suspect was in custody.
Meanwhile, Twitter users on Monday were reporting that a nearby Portillo’s was on lockdown during the incident.
