The Lady Kingsmen of Romeoville Christian (7-0) remain perfect after
defeating the visiting Calumet Christian Patriots of Griffith, IN.
Romeoville controlled the game the entire way coasting to a 55-40 final
score. Rebounding was key as Erica Ware pulled down 12 individually to add
to the team total of 46. Scoring was spread out as the Kingsmen had four
players in double figures. Lauren Johnson led all scorers with 15 and
Angelina Byers added 11. The team was anchored by outstanding performances from the Perez sisters who both had a double-double. Casey Perez had 14 points along with 13 rebounds and younger sister, Jessie, had 11 points, 10 rebounds, and a season high 6 assists. Romeoville will be in action againthis Friday in Rockford when they play conference rival Berean ptist.

The Kingsmen beat the Swordsmen of Hammond Baptist, Tuesday night at home. The Kingsmen and Swordsmen played just over a month ago in a game that the Swordsmen won by 22. Hammond entered Tuesday's contest missing a few key players due to injuries, and the Kingsmen capitalized on the opportunity. The entire game was close with the Kingsmen leading at the half, 23-21. Both teams did a great job with shot selection and shot a high percentage on the night, however the contest would not be decided in regulation. With the game tied at 42 going into overtime, sophomore Robby Janson hit 2 three point field goals to eventually seal the deal for the Kingsmen, 48-45. Senior Jake Janson lead all scorers with 29 (4-9 2pt, 4-7 3pt, 9-14 ft) while Robby Janson chipped in 14 (1-1 2pt, 4-6 3pt) for the Kingsmen. The Kingsmen improve to 2-4 on the season and travel to Rockford on Friday for their final game before the Christmas break.
