September Market Slowdown

Sales of single family homes in Bolingbrook slowed in September.  45 homes went under contract with an average list price of $183,636. 

48% of all available single family homes for sale were under contract and 64% of those contracted were short, foreclosed or bank-owned sales.  These distressed property sales continue to exert strong downward pressure on Bolingbrook home values.

Highest price sold for September was $388,000 in the Naperville school district and lowest was a foreclosure at $55,124.  Of the 368 listings in the MLS today, the lowest price currently available is $89,000 (3 bedroom, 1 bath - cash only) and the highest is $849,900 (a 3800 square foot custom ranch with 6 car garage in Americana Estates).
