New Restaurant Coming Soon To Bolingbrook

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The vacant former site of a Weber Road restaurant will soon be home to Slim Chickens, a new eatery that says it offers "always fresh," 100 percent all-natural chicken and more. The Village of Bolingbrook announced that the restaurant will open in late 2017 at 246 S. Weber Road. The fast-casual restaurant will be the first of its kind in the area.

The site was last home to La Hacienda de los Fernandez, a Mexican restaurant that has since been demolished. Two new buildings will be constructed on the site, the village said. Currently, Slim Chickens has locations in Bloomington, Champaign and East Peoria.

"Started in Arkansas, (Slim Chickens) are in the fresh, made-to-order tenders market; described as the place for fresh tenders, wings, salads, and wraps with a dose of southern hospitality," according to the Village of Bolingbrook.
