BOLINGBROOK, IL — Winter weather is expected Thursday, as up to seven inches of snow is possible. Bolingbrook is under a winter storm warning from 3 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, and slippery road conditions are expected during the Thursday morning and evening commutes.
Freezing rain and sleet will begin late Wednesday into early Thursday, followed by a period of heavy snowfall on Thursday afternoon and evening. 3 to 7 inches of snow is possible, as well as a light glaze of light accumulations.
Several area school districts have announced schools will be closed or e-learning days will take place on Thursday. In Bolingbrook, the following schools will be impacted by the winter weather:
