Star Cinema Grill Coming To The Promenade Bolingbrook

Star Cinema Grill has signed a 15-year lease for the space formerly occupied by IPIC Theater.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Star Cinema Grill has signed a 15-year lease for the space which previously housed IPIC Theater, according to a release from The Promenade Bolingbrook.

The 42,000-square-foot space will be the new home of the Houston-based dine-in theater concept, which will open this spring.

“We’re focused on continuing to bring the right mix of new tenants while retaining those that
make The Promenade Bolingbrook a destination for the community,” The Promenade Bolingbrook General Manager Kristine Kuchler said in a release. “A theater is paramount to holding our value with our guests as a top choice for their entertainment needs.”

Star Cinema Grill will offer new premium recliner seats, all with seat heaters, as well as full service beverage and dining, according to a release. It will also feature Star Cinema Grill’s Premium Pod Seating, which have added amenities such as privacy walls, blankets and priority food and beverage service. The operator also currently operates Hollywood Palms Cinema in Naperville.

“The demand for in-person cinematic entertainment combined with the full dining experience is
a unique activity that we believe will be a big draw from the [Bolingbrook] region and beyond,” says Paul Chase, EVP of Agency Leasing and Development, JLL Retail.
