Stolen Cars, Razors, DUIs: Bolingbrook Police Blotter

BOLINGBROOK, IL - Here's a look at some of the recent criminal activity around the village of 76,000 residents. The following information was furnished by the Bolingbrook Police Department covering the time span of Jan 10-17.

JAN. 10

"Officers were called to Meijer, 755 E. Boughton Rd., for the report of a retail theft. Unknown subjects exited the store with a cart full of merchandise without rendering payment. Loss valued at $264."

JAN. 11

"Christina Phillips, 27, 1187 N. Farnsworth Ave., Aurora, was charged with an in-state warrant, following a call to the 200 block of N. Weber Rd for a domestic disturbance at 9:56 pm."

JAN. 12

"Nicholas Vega, 22, 617 Kingston Dr., Romeoville, was charged with two in-state warrants, following a patrol stop on the 100 block of N. Bolingbrook Dr. at 1:58 am."

"Officers were called to Meijer, 755 E. Boughton Rd., for the report of a retail theft. Unknown subject exited the store with two electronic razors without rendering payment at 12:05 pm. Loss valued at $950."

"Donald Dascenzo, 72, 503 Kildeer Dr., was charged with violation of stalking no contact order, following a call to the 500 block of Kildeer Dr. at 5:50 am."

"Officers responded to the 500 block of Greystone Ln., for the report of a trespass to residence. Unknown subjects entered through a rear window between 12:25 pm - 12:40 pm. Nothing appeared to have been taken."

"Judith Steeky, 28, 155 Ashcroft Dr., was charged with too fast for conditions and two counts of DUI, following a traffic stop at 2:55 am."

JAN. 14

"Cornell Hentz, 50, 357 Wildflower Way, was charged with an in-state warrant, following a traffic stop at Schmidt Rd. & Remington Blvd. at 7:39 am.

JAN. 15

"Lance Smith, 43, 5996 Pine Bluff Dr., Avon, IN, was charged with DUI, following a traffic stop on the 200 block of S. Bolingbrook Dr. at 11:30 pm."

JAN. 17

"Jerome Baker, 47, 606 Preston Dr., was charged with aggravated assault, domestic battery and unlawful restraint, following a call to the 600 block of Preston Dr. for a domestic disturbance at 12:07 am."

"A 2012 Ford Escape was taken from a business parking lot on the 700 block of Janes Ave. at 2:00 pm. It was later located in Willowbrook. Keys and a cellphone were still missing."
