Subway Restaurant Robbery Tops Bolingbrook Police Blotter
Two men robbed a Bolingbrook Subway store on Friday, Jan. 26. They haven't been caught yet.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - One of Bolingbrook's restaurants was the recent victim of a stick up. On the morning Friday, Jan. 26, Bolingbrook police cars responded to the Subway restaurant at 221 South Bolingbrook Drive for an armed robbery. Police reports state that two people entered the Subway at 7 a.m. with a gun. They demanded cash from out of the register and ran out a rear door after their crime, police reports show. So far, there have been no arrests made.

JANUARY 26

A 2007 Nissan was taken from a driveway on the 500 block of Thomas Rd. at 7:30 am.
A front door and screen were damaged to a residence on Lot G of Fernwood Dr. at 12:20 pm.

Jerrell Dejohnette, 26, 422 Meadowlark Dr., was charged with deceptive practice on the 300 block of Woodcreek Dr. at 12:52 pm.
Officers were called to Menards, 290 N. Bolingbrook Dr., for the report of a retail theft. Unknown subject exited the store with unpaid merchandise at 6:00 pm.
JANUARY 27
A 2006 Wabash trailer was taken from a business on Territorial Ct. between Jan. 26-27.
Emmanuel Antonio, 25, 252 Bridge St., Joliet, was charged with a traffic sign violation, driving on a suspended license and three in-state warrants, following a traffic stop at Janes Ave, & Chesapeake Dr. at 7:25 pm.
Brian Stevenson, 54, 1902 S. 12th Ave., Maywood, was charged with an in-state warrant, following a traffic stop at Rt. 53 & I-55 at 8:30 pm.
Officers responded to the 1100 block of Partridge Ave. for the report of a residential burglary. Two unknown subjects posed as water workers and needed to test the faucet water at 4:00 pm. A cabinet was later discovered with pry marks, the lock broken and a designer watch was missing. Loss valued at $250.
A gold bracelet was taken from a residence on the 200 block of Diane Ln. between 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Loss valued at $600.
JANUARY 28
Reymundo Zavala, 22, 532 E. Briarcliff Rd., was charged with illegal transportation, obstructing identification and resisting a peace officer, following a traffic stop Rt. 53 & Arrowhead Ln. at 12:00 am.
JANUARY 29
A 2014 Volvo semi-truck was removed from a parking lot on the 500 block of E. South Frontage Rd. between Jan. 26-29.
Buenaventura Cervantes-Meza, 40, 362B Whitewater Dr., was charged with two in-state warrants, equipment violation and driving on a suspended license, following a traffic stop at Boughton Rd. & Delaware Dr. at 10:59 pm.
Rashad Owens, 28, 102 Striker St., Joliet, was charged with an in-state warrant, following a patrol stop on the 500 block of Preston Dr. at 4:42 pm
Carlos Sims, 30, 2213 S. Bogden Ln., Joliet, was charged with an in-state warrant, following a patrol stop on the 100 block of Remington Blvd. at 8:24 pm.
JANUARY 30
A wallet and credit cards were taken from a purse in a back room of a business on the 600 block of E. Boughton Rd. at 9:04 pm.
JANUARY 31
A 2002 Toyota Corolla was taken from the parking lot on the 500 block of Norman Rd. between 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm.
Vanessa Romero, 28, 221 Riverview Ave. Lockport, was charged with an in-state warrant, following a traffic stop at Lily Cache Ln. & Orchard Dr. at 10:06 pm.
Angelica Gonzalez, 22, 414 Bellarmine St., Joliet, was charged with two in-state warrants, driving on a suspended license and speeding, following a traffic stop at Rt. 53 & Justamere Dr. at 9:15 am
