Take A Hibernation Hike In Bolingbrook With The Forest Preserve
The free event for all ages will feature a hike through the woods down to Hidden Lakes Trout Farm to see which creatures are hibernating.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Even with temperatures turning cooler, the Forest Preserve District of Will County still has plenty of events on tap.
In Bolingbrook, the preserve is offering a Hibernation Hike from 10 to 11 a.m. on Nov. 6 at Hidden Oaks Nature Center. The free event for all ages will feature a hike through the woods down to Hidden Lakes Trout Farm to see which creatures are hibernating and which aren't. You must register for the event by Nov. 5.
In nearby Romeoville, you can also learn how to finger knit your own winter toque or beanie from 6 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 9 at Isle a la Cache Museum. You'll also learn about voyageurs and 18th century headwear while you craft, according to the preserve.

You must bring your own yarn, and the event is free and is for ages 10 and older. You must register by Nov. 6.
